The Rotary Club of Five Points has named Toby Chaffin as the winner of the “Service Above Self” award for 2012-13.

Chaffin was honored for his work as Club Program Chair.  In making the award, Club president Louis Dessau stated that the past year’s speakers were “absolutely superb” due to Chaffin’s efforts.  Louis noted that Toby even continued booking excellent speakers during a period in which he was ill– clearly Service Above Self.  Chaffin was unable to attend the award ceremony due to a prior commitment, so president Dessau, with the Club cheering on in the background, informed him of the good news by voice mail from the ceremony.
