Brian Klauk is the Project Manager for Carolina Crossroads in the new Mega Projects Division of the South Carolina Department of Transportation, he is responsible for delivering the Environmental Impact Statement / Record of Decision and design-build procurement of the Carolina Crossroads Project. Through implementation, he will oversee program controls, management of risks, finances, labor, schedules, claims, documents, media and public relations, utility coordination, environmental compliance, right-of-way acquisition oversight, and coordination with design and construction management.
During his 20-plus-year career, he has delivered the design and construction of horizontal and vertical infrastructure projects while working for SCDOT, the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism, and several consulting firms. He also serves as a volunteer design engineer on international development projects, including children’s homes, a hospital, a senior care facility, and cutting-edge disaster relief shelters that help children and families around the world step out of poverty and into a world of hope. He a registered Professional Engineer in South Carolina, a Certified Public Manager, and an Envision® Sustainability Professional.
