Temple Ligon will speak on issues related to sources of funding for endowments at SC’s universities, “Get it (endowment) when you can, wherever you can.”
We will meet at the Main Street United Methodist Church, with Chef Robert Walker preparing the meal.

Three Flags, by Jasper Johns, 1958, Whitney Museum of American Art
Ligon is a business writer, currently a columnist in the Columbia Business Monthly. He is a journalist, entrepreneur, architectural designer, idea generator, marathon winner (3:31 in 1989) and loser (4:30 in 1996), and Jasper Johns promoter.
He spoke before our club when we were located inside the fairgrounds, in the late 1980s. His topic was “The Bridge”, which he still envisions crossing the Congaree River that has a hotel, shops, and restaurants on it.
