John is currently Director of Cultural Resources for the Historic Columbia Foundation.  His previous experience is with the South Carolina Federation of Museums and the University of South Carolina Public History Program.  His specialties include  historic preservation advocacy, historical research, academic format and popular style writing, editing and proofreading, developing historical and architectural tours, exhibit text and label coy development.
